Bringing Nature Indoors

The clients from the Netherlands' vision was to create a space that welcomed the outdoors indoors and encouraged countryside living as an escape from the city hustle. Located in the Cotswolds, the residence combines the clients’ Dutch heritage with the local landscape. Natural oak flooring in a Waterfall colour brings even more of the beauty of nature indoors.

Wood Flooring for the Kitchen

The design brief emphasized creating a space for entertaining guests. Hamilford Design incorporated bespoke bunk beds to maximize space. At the same time, the open-plan living and dining areas create a convivial atmosphere. The dining area is strategically positioned to capture panoramic countryside views. Engineered for maximum stability and durability, our wood flooring is installed throughout the kitchen and dining room.

The home's top floor is dedicated to leisure, featuring a bespoke bar and a games room. The games room is adorned with original artwork, showcasing a handmade billiards table as its centrepiece. The Ecohardwood oak flooring here is equally resilient, handling the foot traffic while complementing the room’s entertaining and sophisticated design.

Commitment to Sustainability

Eco-friendly practices were integrated throughout the project to minimize environmental impact, including interior pieces and natural materials sourced from local artisans. Ecohardwood has long been committed to sustainable practices. For crafting our products, we only use oak trees sourced from sustainably managed forests that are at least 120 years old: it’s an example of the circle of life. Mature oak trees at that age reach their life expectancy but can be repurposed for homes and extend their life. Our oak flooring, along with other products like oak doors, oak stairs and cladding, is 100% European, beautiful, last for generations and remains in harmony with nature.

Hamilford Design has created a cohesive and stylish retreat that reflects the clients' Scandinavian roots while celebrating the beauty of the British countryside and a respect for the environment.

We recently purchased Ecohardwood engineered oak wood flooring in the Tobacco colour and we couldn’t be happier. The quality is excellent – well made, with a beautiful natural finish. We installed it throughout the whole house and it has completely changed the look and feel of the space, giving it a warm, modern and very natural feel. We did apply a premium hardwax oil, which enhanced the tone and added extra protection. We are extremely happy with our choice and would definitely recommend this floor to anyone looking for great quality and a timeless look.

I recently visited the Ecohardwood showroom in West London and was genuinely impressed. It's beautifully designed and the quality of the products really stands out. Everything is made from real, natural oak and you can see the attention to detail in the craftsmanship. The team were very friendly and knowledgeable. If you're looking for premium engineered wood flooring, made-to-measure oak doors or bespoke oak staircases, I'd definitely recommend visiting the showroom. It's well worth the trip and gives you a much better understanding of the products than looking online. Excellent service and beautiful quality throughout.

We chose Ecohardwood having seen their engineered oak floors (Tobacco) in a friend's house. We found Irmantas a pleasure to deal with. We love the look and finish of the product and chose it in part because it works well with our underfloor heating. There were a few spillages by our builders but the Ecohardwood team have been very helpful in helping our builders to remedy these mistakes. Irmantas has remained very reassuring and calm! We fully recommend the product having lived in our house now for a few months. If I did it again I might use Ecohardwood to do the installation.
