GREY OAK FLOORING

Grey is such a versatile colour when it comes to engineered hardwood flooring. There are many types of greys to choose from, that includes pale or dark grey and warmer shades with a tint of brown. Grey colour is highly in demand, because it is a perfect alternative for customers who prefer their wooden flooring neither too ‘washed’ nor too dark. Additionally, grey oak flooring can be matched with a vast range of furniture and accessories.

Ecohardwood Ltd grey oak flooring options

At Ecohardwood Ltd we offer a wide assortment of engineered oak flooring, including a grey palette. Our flooring is manufactured in an environmentally-friendly manner using the highest quality materials, of which the most important is European oak. The 3-layer symmetrical true balance construction makes the floor ideal for underfloor heating and ensures stability. We use non-toxic glue and stains from German manufacturer SAICOS. The floor is not a cheap product sold online, it is a timeless investment.

Ecohardwood’s grey oak flooring collection starts with the bestsellers Waterfall and Ocean Breeze. Both are tailor made colours that beautifully age with the time. Ocean Breeze is particularly a recommended product for the homeowners looking for that not too light and not too dark grey shade. Waterfall represents a slightly different shade, it has a hint of brown and appeals with a natural look.

If you are looking for a more industrial style, Modern Concrete is your colour. It complements a contemporary interior and looks best when installed in open spaces. Another group of grey oak flooring is the type that also combines brown. The colours include Graphite, Basalt, Antique, Silver Dust and Forest Lake. The first three are more traditional and the Silver Dust and Forest lake are darker and edgier.

Engineered oak flooring in variety of choices

Ecohardwood Ltd offers any selected colour in various widths, thicknesses, finishes, grades and patterns. For regular size rooms we suggest our standard 185 mm plank width. Our widest board, 220mm 235 mm looks divine installed in a house with large and spacious rooms. 120mm and 145mm  widths are also available on request.

Available thicknesses are 14.5mm and 18mm for your choice.

A few of our grey tone colours come in brushed finish only, such as Silver Dust. Others can be not only brushed, but also sanded or cross-brushed, depending on the design idea you’re going for.

When taking grades into consideration, all of the grey shades look nice and natural in rustic grade, which has the most knots, in other words, represents real character of the wood. It is also the most popular choice of clients. Unless you imagine your floor having a clean and pristine look, we can suggest select grade. Not a problem if you like something in between the two, then it would be nature grade with less and smaller knots than rustic.

Engineered oak floor patterns, such as herringbone and chevron will look marvellous laid in an open space, such as living room.

How to match grey oak flooring

Grey colour is fairly easy to play with. When you have grey hardwood flooring installed, it is a great starting point. As a neutral shade, it makes the ideal background to a full palette of colours when you choose the paint for the walls. Whether you are designing a home or office with monochrome or bright colours, grey will compliment any type of a setting. You can even choose grey paint because there are so many tones of this colour, for example, blue grey, which is typically a darker colour and will go incredibly well with light grey flooring. If your engineered hardwood flooring has hints of brown, then a pale grey palette is a yes for the walls.

Because grey is a multipurpose colour, your grey flooring can be combined with both contemporary and minimalistic or traditional and cosy furniture. If you are pursuing a very modern look for your space, match your grey hardwood flooring with glass or metal accessories. Any design ideas and choices can be discussed at our sales office or via email .

I bought the floors for 1 of my project. They look amazing, worth every penny. The client is so happy with this flooring. Next projects will suggest to my clients to get this floor. Easy to install...One of the staff which I deal with ( name Renata ), was really helpful. Thank you Renata. Definitely recommend this flooring.
We recently purchased Ecohardwood engineered oak wood flooring in the Tobacco colour and we couldn’t be happier. The quality is excellent – well made, with a beautiful natural finish. We installed it throughout the whole house and it has completely changed the look and feel of the space, giving it a warm, modern and very natural feel. We did apply a premium hardwax oil, which enhanced the tone and added extra protection. We are extremely happy with our choice and would definitely recommend this floor to anyone looking for great quality and a timeless look.
We recently worked with Ecohardwood and Gode Interiors on a bespoke oak staircase project. Ecohardwood manufactured the staircase cladding and supplied high-quality oak components, which were beautifully crafted and delivered to a very high standard. The products were well prepared for installation, and the team was knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the project. We would be happy to recommend Ecohardwood to anyone looking for quality oak staircases, flooring, doors, and bespoke joinery.
I recently visited the Ecohardwood showroom in West London and was genuinely impressed. It's beautifully designed and the quality of the products really stands out. Everything is made from real, natural oak and you can see the attention to detail in the craftsmanship. The team were very friendly and knowledgeable. If you're looking for premium engineered wood flooring, made-to-measure oak doors or bespoke oak staircases, I'd definitely recommend visiting the showroom. It's well worth the trip and gives you a much better understanding of the products than looking online. Excellent service and beautiful quality throughout.
We chose Ecohardwood having seen their engineered oak floors (Tobacco) in a friend's house. We found Irmantas a pleasure to deal with. We love the look and finish of the product and chose it in part because it works well with our underfloor heating. There were a few spillages by our builders but the Ecohardwood team have been very helpful in helping our builders to remedy these mistakes. Irmantas has remained very reassuring and calm! We fully recommend the product having lived in our house now for a few months. If I did it again I might use Ecohardwood to do the installation.
