NATURAL OAK FLOORING

Natural oak flooring creates a warm and welcoming feeling to your home. As we all know, natural colour wooden flooring compliments various kinds of interior styles, from modern to traditional. Depending on a chosen colour tone, this type of engineered oak flooring goes well with a few tones of lighter or darker wooden cabinetry, furniture and accessories.

Wall colours to match with natural wooden flooring

There are all different sorts of wall paint or wallpaper you can match with natural oak flooring. If the wall colour is close to the floor, the room may look a bit bland. The space will also look quirky if bold or dark wall tones clash with honey, yellow or orange undertones of the flooring.

Such ‘creamy’ colours as beige, off-white, ecru or cream will give a nice balance to the space with natural oak flooring. Even warm pastel grey will do the trick with such natural hardwood flooring.

Furniture that goes with natural hardwood flooring

You may be surprised how engineered natural hardwood flooring is so versatile. It gives that confidence that whatever interior design ideas you are following, it will simply work at its best. It doesn’t matter whether your kitchen is more traditional with wooden cabinetry or white, modern Scandinavian, this type of flooring is an ultimate choice, especially if you don’t consider installing dark or white flooring in your space. It’s all about an image you envision and would like to achieve. You can match natural oak flooring not only with wooden cabinetry but also tables, chairs and bed frames. If your kitchen cabinetry and island is a similar finish to the flooring, tall black bar chairs will accent the space. Soft fabric grey or creamy brown sofas will do an excellent job in a lounge or living room as well. Good news if you consider laying engineered oak flooring throughout the house because due to its durability our product is suitable for all the rooms including kitchens and bathrooms.

Ecohardwood floor technicalities

The shape of wood is another important consideration. To achieve an urban look, we suggest looking into natural oak patterns, such as chevron or herringbone. Ecohardwood Ltd offers different widths (120mm, 145mm, 185mm, 220mm and 235mm) and lengths (425mm, 600mm, 625mm, 725mm, 735mm, 865mm and 975mm) for the patterns. Choosing this type of hardwood flooring will also bring a fair share of elegance to your home.

For a more traditional approach, long natural engineered oak boards will work perfectly. Although, the widths of the most in-demand planks are 185mm, 220mm and 235mm, we also offer 145mm and 120mm. Our planks also come in in different thicknesses: 14.5mm and 18mm. Patterns are only available 14.5mm wide.

When you decide to purchase natural wood floors, there is also a choice of a finish, for instance, smooth (sanded), brushed or cross-brushed. While some of the colours are only available in sanded (Dune), it’s entirely your decision what look you wish to create, smooth or with a little bit of a texture.

In terms of oak grading, Ecohardwood Ltd supplies 4 available oak grades: character, original, select and prime. Engineered natural oak flooring beautifully celebrates the character of the wood in character grade, but also looks immaculate when purchased in Prime grade without any knots. Although there is a price difference to it.

If you like the characteristics of both grades, but would like something in between, go for Select grade. The knots will be smaller and rarer, but they will still be there.

After all, wood is a product that radiates natural beauty.

We chose Ecohardwood having seen their engineered oak floors (Tobacco) in a friend's house. We found Irmantas a pleasure to deal with. We love the look and finish of the product and chose it in part because it works well with our underfloor heating. There were a few spillages by our builders but the Ecohardwood team have been very helpful in helping our builders to remedy these mistakes. Irmantas has remained very reassuring and calm! We fully recommend the product having lived in our house now for a few months. If I did it again I might use Ecohardwood to do the installation.
I recently visited the Ecohardwood showroom in West London and was genuinely impressed. It's beautifully designed and the quality of the products really stands out. Everything is made from real, natural oak and you can see the attention to detail in the craftsmanship. The team were very friendly and knowledgeable. If you're looking for premium engineered wood flooring, made-to-measure oak doors or bespoke oak staircases, I'd definitely recommend visiting the showroom. It's well worth the trip and gives you a much better understanding of the products than looking online. Excellent service and beautiful quality throughout.
I bought the floors for 1 of my project. They look amazing, worth every penny. The client is so happy with this flooring. Next projects will suggest to my clients to get this floor. Easy to install...One of the staff which I deal with ( name Renata ), was really helpful. Thank you Renata. Definitely recommend this flooring.
We recently purchased Ecohardwood engineered oak wood flooring in the Tobacco colour and we couldn’t be happier. The quality is excellent – well made, with a beautiful natural finish. We installed it throughout the whole house and it has completely changed the look and feel of the space, giving it a warm, modern and very natural feel. We did apply a premium hardwax oil, which enhanced the tone and added extra protection. We are extremely happy with our choice and would definitely recommend this floor to anyone looking for great quality and a timeless look.
We recently worked with Ecohardwood and Gode Interiors on a bespoke oak staircase project. Ecohardwood manufactured the staircase cladding and supplied high-quality oak components, which were beautifully crafted and delivered to a very high standard. The products were well prepared for installation, and the team was knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the project. We would be happy to recommend Ecohardwood to anyone looking for quality oak staircases, flooring, doors, and bespoke joinery.
